Remarkably, Karon spent her early years in a location that we would all envy. Her father was the lighthouse-keeper on a small, palm-fringed, coral-surrounded tropical island in the Australian Great Barrier Reef. In such a remote location, Karon did her schoolwork by correspondence and was largely self-taught. Encouraged by the lack of boundaries of formal education, Karon first questioned why to many of the puzzles in life.

Moving to the mainland, she graduated to become a severe asthmatic, and recalls a hospital doctor responding to her questions as to what each medicine would do, with “just take the pills and stop asking questions”. It didn’t seem fair. And her asthma only seemed to worsen.

Well Karon found her own answers to her questions 30 years later, cured her asthma naturally, and is today, totally drug-free. She has helped many others reap the same benefits in her book, Naturally Free from Asthma.

Being ever-curious, Karon has traveled extensively around the world and, as an information analyst, has lived and worked in such diverse places as England, Nigeria and Borneo.
