Lisa DunningLisa Dunning has an established California family therapist private practice, where she offers marriage counseling, family therapy, child psychotherapy, parenting classes and youth empowerment / adolescence self esteem support groups in a nurturing and safe therapeutic environment, allowing her clients to feel positive about themselves, their family and their environment. Years of experience as a foster care social worker and in private practice as a California family therapist and personal experience as a parent has given Lisa Dunning unique insight into Parent / Child Relationship issues.

Lisa Dunning’s practice provides marriage counseling, family therapy, child psychotherapy and group therapy with a focus on parent education to improve parent / child relationship issues. Lisa runs parent education classes, organizes support groups for parents and self esteem groups for boys & girls ages 5 - 9 years. She also provides expert advise to a freelance writer for iparenting.com.

Lisa has supervised Family Advocates who provided case management for at risk families and children. Conducted ongoing meetings with elementary, middle & high schools to implement programs, provide updates on case managed families, coordinate community events and increase parent involvement.

As a foster care social worker, Lisa has worked closely with children, ages newborn to eighteen, and their foster and biological parents. She provided safe, nurturing and therapeutic environments for severely emotionally disturbed children. In order to obtain this goal, provided individual child psychotherapy and group and family therapy for the children/adolescence and aided the foster parents with therapeutic interventions and resources.

Lisa Dunning wants people to have the relationships they desire - relationships built on trust, mutual respect, and admiration.
