Her Honours degree in Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa, was completed in her second language, French. Shelle is a Certified Trainer of NLP, (Neuro-linguistic Programming) specializing in applied NLP in organizations. She delivers training, keynote speeches and consults on solving difficult communication problems in both languages, around the world. Shelle lived in Europe for 7 years, returning to Canada in 1989 and now works across North America, in Europe and Asia.

Shelle is best known for her work applying advanced Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) approaches and the Language and Behaviour Profile (LAB Profile) to customer service, sales and marketing, recruitment and team communication. Consultants from around the world attend her LAB Profile Consultant/Trainer Certification Program.

Her first book, Words That Change Minds: Mastering the Language of Influence has sold 25000 copies in English and is now available in French, German and Spanish. She also produced two critically-acclaimed audio cassette programs entitled Understanding and Triggering Motivation, in English and French. She regularly publishes articles in periodicals in several countries.
