Great tips to get stains out of any fabric

Here are many household products you can use with out buying expensive stain removers. We’ve got the best solution for removing candle wax.

Rinse then soak in cold water for ½ hour. This works well when the blood stain is new and wet. Never use hot water, it sets the stain.
Or make a paste of cornstarch and spread on stain. Brush away when it’s dry. Rinse from the backside of the stain with warm soapy water.

Stubborn stains can be dabbed with diluted ammonia. NOT recommended for acetates.

Candle Wax

Scrape as much of the solid pieces off as you can.
DO NOT do this next step near an open flame. Pour Lighter fluid, the kind you put in refillable lighters, into a bowl and soak the waxed area in the fluid. Works like a charm.

*caution: Always remember to test the fabric an inconspicuous spot or by soaking a snippet of the fabric.

Chewing Gum

Mayonnaise: Apply mayonnaise and work it in. It will soften the gum and come off easily. Or place item in freezer, when it is solid break the pieces off. Loosen any remainder pieces by soaking in white vinegar or egg white.
Launder as you normally would.

Chocolate

Soak and rub chocolate area gentle with a borax and water solution, 2 tablspoons with 1 cup of water). Launder as you normally would.

Coffee and Tea

Place your cloth stained fabric over a bowl and pour boiling water on the stain. Or apply a few drops of white wine vinegar to stain, let it soak then rinse with warm water.

For old stains rub area gentle with a borax and water solution, 2 tablspoons with 1 cup of water). Launder as you normally would.

Crayons

Melted on from dryers. Apply the same methods as candle wax. After all it is the same substance. Scrape as much of the solid pieces off as you can. DO NOT do this next step near an open flame. Deodarant Stains

Rub area with white vinegar and launder with the hottest water the fabric allows.

Egg

Rinse with cool water. Never use hot water, it will set the stain. Launder as you normally would.

Wine

Soak with soda water until the stain disappears, rinse and launder.
On carpets, soak w ith soda water and blot with paper towels.
